Katherine Heigl admits that she was brought up in a white bubble and how this realization affected how she cared for her adoptive, multiracial kids. The actress from "Firefly Lane", revealed to an interviewer that it didn't matter the color of her skin for her. After meeting her Korean-American adopted older sister, she noticed the differences in the way people were treated by her. Meg was asked if she was treated differently while they were together with their parents, and the time they were on their own. Meg replied "Oh sure! Every time!" Heigl said to Parents, "That made me realise that I was so naive." She said that she was frustrated and thought she needed to channel the anger she felt on the adopted children she has. Heigl has a son of four year with Josh Kelley, her husband for 13 years. They took in Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8), who is black in 2009.
