Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
One baby was strapped on my back as one crawled inside the playground. I worked 12 hour days for months sanding and removing wallpaper, and with just one child. Ha! The house was starting to look good, but there was a lot to be done. In this undertaking I had planned to invest a significant amount of time and money looking for my dream house. To keep the budget in check, I began attending estate sales with my three boys searching for jewels in the rough. Our routine was of walking around auctions and garage sales on the weekend, and buy a variety of furniture, both new and old made. My work days were spent in the driveway painting or sanding. Furniture looked this way... and that's where I got my passion to restore. No matter what, our house had already been equipped. Markets in town had room to let me sell my pieces. I eventually had lots of pieces, I didn't think of a solution and my storage space was a mess. My house was transformed into a space in which I held open houses, where up to 1000 visitors could see items from my first floor and purchase the items. My venture Growing Days began here. Apart from my successful business, I also had the pleasure of growing our family. As a mom of a child I was able to strike the right equilibrium to start my own business as well as be a good mother. Growing Days just seemed to be the right fit. In 2013, my daughter Nora became our fourth daughter. I loved where my business was taking me, but I felt like I needed some time off. I decided to step back to spend time at home, spending time with my children. It was exactly what I needed. In the course of a few months, my phone started to ring. I started receiving requests from people requesting to help with their home improvement as well as interior design. It was mostly those that came to my house for furniture. In the following time I started taking on clients in my own way. In no time, I was managing multiple accounts, as well as a house renovations business. If you had told me that my company would become an idea for the DIY Network show, I would probably have thought you were crazy. It's funny to think back about it.
