She felt this was necessary in order to get the attention of politicians to take action to stop the global warming. Swedish media took pictures of Thunbergs strike and the word was spread. Soon after many other students embraced the movement #FridaysforFuture. They stayed home on Friday in protest against climate change. Climate campaigners from around the world coordinated the very inaugural Global Strike for Climate in 2019. This Global Climate Strike was an enormous success. Over 1.6 million people participated from 125 different countries.

Nia Gwendolyn (born Virenia Peeples) is an American actor and singer. She has been renowned for her portrayal of the role that is Nicole Chapman on the series Fame and also as Pam Fields on the drama Pretty Little Liars. Also, she is well-known for her role on Walker Texas Ranger and The Young and the Restless as Sydney Cooke and Karen Taylor.
